Hello Daddy

Sarah and I started a bedtime routine with Noah a few months after he was born. We read a couple of books, say a prayer, listen to a song, and lay him down for the night. For almost two years we have been reading stories from The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. It is one of our favorites. A few weeks ago Noah started reciting part of the Lord's Prayer that we often read from the book and we finally got a video of him reciting it.

Favorite Things

It is just so much fun seeing Noah experience things for the first time. Over the summer he's learned quite a bit and it's been neat to see his personality as he becomes this independent little boy. Here are some of his favorite things lately. I can't believe he's going to be two and a half next week!

Going to the park.
This boy loves water!

Sporting his Trader Joe's stickers

Building castles and bridges

"Mommy I making circles!"

Frozen yogurt dates with Mommy and Daddy.

Boy in a bubble

The rain finally let up this afternoon, so this evening we decided to go downtown to run a couple of errands and go for a walk.  We saw many of Noah's favorites: school busses, trolleys, water fountains and red penguins at the 21C Museum.  He is also a huge fan of blowing bubbles and often asks us to do just that, "Blow really big bubble, Daddy!" Well needless to say Noah had a blast in the lobby of the Kentucky Science Center.  We love spending time with Noah and watching him experience new things.  It brings us both so much joy to see his face light up with pride when he learns how to do something new.

Trying Something New

Just the other day I was feeling pretty nostalgic. I pulled out Noah's baby book to look over his first year and thought, "why am I not still recording all of his milestones, the funny things he says and does, and all of our experiences as a family?!" This is such a precious season that we're in and I definitely want to be able to look back on it.

For a couple of years now I've really enjoyed reading and learning things from the blogging community and have often thought, "maybe we should start a blog". So, It's time to dive in and try something new!

Jamie and I want this blog to be a place where we can share our family adventures, DIY projects, recipes, and the things that God is teaching us along the way. Looking forward to sharing more with you!
